Background
Cal graduated with Honours from University College Cork in 2015. He then spent time in private practice in Galway followed by a maxillo-facial position in the UK where he gained experience with difficult extractions and facial surgery related to trauma. He then took up paediatric dental hospital positions in Cork and Crumlin Children's Hospital.
He enjoyed his time working with children so much that he moved to Dallas, Texas to pursue his paediatric training receiving his Masters in Oral Biology and Certificate in Paediatric Dentistry in June 2024 from Texas A&M University. Calalso works as a clinical fellow in Crumlin treating medically compromised children who require dental treatment in a hospital setting.
He has a special interest in treating nervous children and medically complex patients. He is passionate regarding all areas of dentistry and continues to pursue training to progress his skills.
Outside of work Cal enjoys traditional Irish music, GAA and has completed two trips to Honduras providing dental care to underprivileged children there, an experience that he intends to continue in the future.
